How does licensing work?

Browse the catalogue and pick an asset. “Licence this” starts a real payment through Stitch (South African instant EFT): not a request, not a lead. Once your bank confirms the payment, you hold the licence and it appears in your buyer dashboard.

Why does a payment show as pending?

Stitch confirms instant EFT payments asynchronously: you complete authorisation at your bank, then TrailA.io gets notified separately once it clears, usually within a minute. The asset page updates on its own; no need to keep refreshing.

How do creators get paid?

Every licence price splits three ways: a platform fee, a share to the creator, and a share to the landowner whose land the asset was captured on. The landowner's share is set per land access agreement, not a flat platform-wide rate: different land, different creators, can carry different splits. Once a creator connects a payout account (a hosted Stitch redirect from their dashboard, never a bank form on TrailA.io itself), their share of each sale pays out on a regular schedule rather than sitting as a number on a screen.

What does "Verified" mean for a creator?

TrailA.io staff have confirmed this is a real, reviewed creator account. It's separate from an individual asset's Rights stage: a verified creator's new upload still goes through its own rights review before it can be licensed, and an unverified creator's cleared upload is exactly as licensable as a verified one's. Verified is about the account, not a claim about any specific asset.

What does a landowner subscription actually grant?

A subscription is a framework, not a licence. It gives a landowner the tooling to approve creators for their land and administer the agreements; it doesn't itself sell rights to anything. Every licence a buyer holds is still its own separate record.

Why isn't a newly uploaded asset available to licence yet?

New uploads start in showcase status, visible, with an unresolved Rights stage in the provenance chain, until TrailA.io's rights review clears them. Only then can a buyer actually licence it.

What is the Land Authorisation stage in the provenance chain?

The record that the landowner cleared this specific creator to capture on this specific land, distinct from Rights (which clears the licence itself). It's what makes TrailA.io's provenance chain three-sided instead of two.
